The Institute for Interdisciplinary Innovation in healthcare aims at developing scientific knowledge and innovative education programs to foster innovation in healthcare.
Over the recent past years, several public-private partnerships were launched to accelerate the development of innovative therapies. Although these collaborative endeavors are generally perceived as fruitful, their implementation is empirical with no measurable evidence of their added value.
Our ambition is to define sound and robust bases for interdisciplinary patient-focused approaches to move collaborative innovation forward.
I³h is located at the Université libre de Bruxelles, Belgium. Multidisciplinary by nature, I³h is organized as a Virtual Institute, that is a collaborative research and education environment without walls, linking complementary expertise to elaborate and educate on innovation in healthcare.
The Institute is open to students, scientists and professionals from various disciplines related to healthcare.
The targeted fields are:
– biomedical sciences, medicine, public health, pharmacy, bioengineering, bioinformatics,
– economics, finance, marketing, management, law-intellectual property, regulation, ethics, philosophy and sociology
